Traffic light uninterruptible power supply (UPS)

 Currently, in the city of Astana, over 150 uninterruptible power supplies are in operation at traffic signal installations, tasked with continuously supporting the operation of the traffic signals during emergency power outages (from 4 to 8 hours). This technical solution has proven its value and significantly reduced the number of unplanned traffic signal outages at central intersections of the city. The technical solution is based on equipment from a leading manufacturer, VICTRON ENERGY. Notably, this equipment incorporates its own communication modem and is integrated with the city's automated traffic management system (ASUDD), enabling dispatchers and technical staff to remotely monitor the power supply status of traffic signals.
